Moving from TX to WA. Car Registration expires a month before the move date

I am currently in TX but got a new job in WA. My car registration expires this month (Sep'19). I am leaving Texas on Nov 1. If anyone had a similar experience, could you please suggest me the best way to deal with this situation? YOE: 8 TC: 130k

Pay up

You mean paying the full registration fee in Texas and again in Washington?

Yea

Payup in Texas first, then pay it after 6 months in WA, or just sell/donate the car in Texas.

I think WA has 30 days grace period for registration. Is it really 6 months? Btw, it's a newly purchased car so selling or donating isn't an option.

It is only 30 days. Start your process before moving itself . Like getting leasing company to send you a copy of title etc

Shipping companies might not even take the order on unregistered car.

Probably not worth the hassle of doing anything different. Pay up 2x, or it's probably a huge pain.

Thanks! That seems to be a wise choice!
