Is it risky to move to Oracle OCI at Seattle on H1b receipt ?
Yes, very risky. Don’t move. Oracle immigration team is shit
+1 they took almost 3 months to reply to my RFE
Its not oracle internal immigration team- its BAL, they might be working with numerous other companies. So this delay in RFE has nothing to do with oracle
Yes
They have international offices. Did you check if they can support? Better to come back on L1 or until immigration shit show settles down here. Today it’s transfers getting rejected, tomorrow extensions will have rejections and who knows in future post approval RFEs? Risk will always be there but how you hedge it matters.
I have to check that. Thanks
Thanks all
It is risky in these times. Company doesn’t matter, any petition can be in trouble. Said that I moved on receipt and it worked out.
Where did you move to?
Don’t do it. MSFT is way better at immigration matters as compared to Oracle.
Do you know if MSFT has any contingency plans when the transfer goes south
Don't. I've waited till final approval. A teammate moved on receipt, got rfe and had to go back and forth for three months with Bal. though it was finally approved in the end he himself admitted it would have been better to wait for approval..
NO!
