I am moving to Seattle for employment at Amazon in 1 month. I will be SDE level 5. I am looking for to a good apartment where i can live peacefully with my wife and 2 kids. So good school and easy bus travel to Amazon office is top priority. Can someone suggest good location & apartment. I dont want to pay more 3000$. I will be looking for 2bed 2bath. Has anyone tried living in downtown seattle with family? Is it worth it? Considering high rent and less commute?
Look at East Queen Anne. It’s around $2200-$2500 for 2 bed/2bath.
Awesome.
You may rent in SLU for 2500-3000 2br and 2 baths and walk 5 mins to your office.
I live in the Westlake area, which is a 10-15 minute walk from South Lake Union. Been happily renting at my apartment complex for nearly a year now. Glad to provide referral if you're interested.
Op needs good school - def not slu. All areas with good schools would be more expensive/further commute. Queen Ann (not lower part but proper hill), magnolia, Ballard, green lake, West Seattle, Mercer island. Or east side. Use google
Take a look at Fremont or Wallingford
How long it takes to reach amazon in peak time?
Fremont is close. You could even bike to work....by car/bus in peak time it woud take you 20 min but that's if you get super terrible traffic...
