Much needed advice
Hi blind users, I have internship offers from jpmc sde (India), Amazon India and Microsoft IDC. Which one would you recommend considering work quality, engineering standards, career growth and full time compensation. Currently more attracted towards Amazon as they are expanding fast in India. Not much interested in a banking firm. However, I have zero know-how of industry. Your suggestions will greatly influence my choice. I welcome suggestions from members of other countries also. TC, teams at each company?
Amazon. They have the least restrictions in moving from team to team, and since you're a college student, you would be motivated to work hard without wlb anyway

JPMC is not a tech company. You won't grow as an SDE there. Out of Amazon and Microsoft, I would say go for Amazon. I've interned at both places, Microsoft Hyderabad and Amazon Bangalore and can tell you there's a huge difference in the learning curve. For starting out your career Amazon will give you the right environment to grow and actually learn skills that make you indispensable in the market in the longer term. I joined Amazon after my internship and worked there for 2 years, so can vouch for that. The only downside is your stocks only start getting vested after you've completed 2 years, so if you're planning to switch or go for Masters soon don't expect any cash to come in via that route. Microsoft, in contrast would probably pay a little more in terms of benefits and stocks (their free stuff can't be beaten). However, I wouldn't go for Microsoft at the beginning of my career simply because it doesn't have the same opportunities of growth at that level. If you're satisfied with your life and want to marry and settle down, go work at Microsoft because it'll give you the opportunity to do that. But right now, making yourself indispensable is key and Amazon would do that to you I hope this helped you, all the best. In the end, it won't matter. Go where your heart tells you to and where you'll fit into the culture best. Trust me, at the end of a few years, culture is all that matters and you need to belong else you'll always be frustrated

Amazon has long hours in some teams and it might burn you out. Amazon has good chances of L1 visa
JPMC = NO Amazon, Microsoft = Yes Amazon = Bitter WLB Microsoft = Better WLB Try to join the Hyderabad IDC Campus or the new Hyderabad Amazon Campus, if you want to have the fun of working at a huge campus. If you are getting admitted in a Bangalore team with better work, that is fine as well. Amazon= Already a pricy stock, less chances of doubling or trippling the value. Microsoft= Very Cheap stock(compared to Amazon), can grow maybe 2x or 14x in the future. Who knows? And also, Amazon, only if you don't want to take the risk to work on Microsoft specific technology. Microsoft is nowadays, opening doors for open source. If you get to work on JavaScript, Python at Microsoft, this won't be an issue. Internally switching teams in Amazon is hard, since your Manager gets notified.
Manager getting notified if only when you have internally spoken and changed teams. People in Amazon do not use tools to change teams. Moving is easier than Microsoft cause in Microsoft, you have to give full interview loops. Other points are valid.
Amazon for good career growth and better pay. Msft for better wlb. No to jpmc.

Last year intern at Microsoft got 80k with accomodation, how come you are still getting 60 k? Which college and when is the joining date?
