Mumbai tech leadership opportunities
Thinking of moving back to Mumbai but need to understand career opportunities. Don’t want to go outside Mumbai as that is where I grew up and have family and friends. The thing is I have never worked in India and my experience is mostly limited to FANG companies. Snap is the exception. Any recommendations for a director or above level management roles and related companies ? Startups are fine but and I’m also open to advisory roles as one of the options is to start my own or fund startups. Have done a few on the side here as well.
On a serious note, not interested in politics. More on consumer tech/products, preferably for the local Indian market
Mumbai has IT services companies which are in New Bombay. If you live in Mumbai, it's a horrible commute. Your best bet is fintech. Many banks and insurance companies have backoffices and product offices there. JP Morgan, BNP, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, bunch of other Iibanks, Indian banks like ICICI, HDFC. And a zillion Indian NBFCs.
Not interested in IT service industry. Fun tech is interesting if it’s helping serve the local market.

Isn't Mumbai highly overloaded in terms of load on infrastructure? You feel immobilized

Biggest opportunity there, is in politics be part of it and you will make much more than you can imagine, for now BJP is leading name but you can switch to congress based on deal they offer 😂
Especially if you have amazing data mining skills and experience working with big data along with no business ethics whatsoever or value for individual privacy, you'll be paid a bucket load of cash.
