Before A, I did join a start up company right after the series B funding. Left after 2 years of work, exercised the stock options. Recently the company got series D funding, and apparently doing quite well. The company is not even close to unicorn thing and doing b2b. How many series D funded startup usually exit either being acquired or through IPO? How long it might take if ever happens?
Which company is it?
🤣🤣 funny. Yes I have some friends there but they are software engineers too so they also dont know much.
😂😂👏
VCs have a rule. If company cant reach more than 500M in EV, it will be positioned for Sale. Otherwise, IPO. Series D is a mezzanine round, less VC and more PE shops participate. It’s less common.
Thanks for your comment. So it's good or bad. Hope it is the good one.
Your EX sounds great. Do you plan to get him/her back together?
Hey OP! its been more than a year since you posted this. Do you know how your Ex startup is doing now?

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Cool dude. My ex got engaged after I broke up with her. Does that count as an exit? You should probably have some friends there who can speak to the company’s situation better than randoms on blind. But series D indicates that investors believe in the company pretty strongly so it’s a great sign.
