Looking for advice on getting youtube views for mom. She's doing Japanese cooking and has like 200 subs. She's taking an ad in the local paper and asking me to design posters and business cards. I don't know what to tell her but I feel like this isn't the right approach. Do you think SEO would be effective in advertising her youtube channel? Are there consultants I can pay that aren't super expensive? Would it be possible to do online ads? I just want her to get the most bang for her buck and if an ad is $300, would she get more quality exposure for that much online?
Paid ad on youtube would give the highest conversion rate, especially if youtube is smart enough to suggest it when someone is already watching cooking videos in Japanese
I'll look into it. Thank you
It all depends on who her target is. Local newspapers tend to attire older people (which might be ok for her), but in a specific geo - they’re best suited for local businesses IMHO. I’d look into SEO, maybe some online ads (on YouTube itself and on instagram to attract younger people who are more likely to be interested in YouTube videos). I’d also look into other kinds of promotion. Maybe see if there’s a blog interested in featuring her, writing a piece about her story of how she became a YouTuber. You might pay to get that done too.
Good advice. Do you have any idea of how I might go about asking for that?
Which one? The blogs? Search for some blogs that might be interesting and contact them. Getting them to write a piece that’s pure advertisement might be hard - spin it more into a “write about my mum who reinvented herself as a youtuber”
Clickbait with porn photos
Lovely
If she has 200 subs she is already a very popular dom. Her dungeon must be quite large.
...
Can you share channel? I'm interested in it lol
Optimizing video titles, descriptions and tags will help SEO quite a bit and just costs you time. I would do that first and then start researching the best ways to seek channel growth by reading articles about it online. You’ll get better info than on Blind, most likely at least.
I'll give her the most bang for her buck.
You can start by posting the link here, kinda curious actually.
The name of the channel is Kikuzen Cuisine. She went from zero experience to this since about March. I'm proud of her but she wants to take it to the next level.
Can't help out much with advice on advertising or SEO, but just wanna say it looks like a great channel! Best of luck to her. For the lazy: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR28nMflq2VHrZPKaOv9keA
Her souffle omelette already has 16k views. How often does she generate new content?
A couple of her videos have done well, but it doesn't reflect in subscribers. It takes her a few weeks between videos usually. Her latest video with green tea soba got like 105 views and that's what is making her so anxious.
Hack up a browser extension that'll multiply the sub count by a thousand or three. Install on her machine, ???, PROFIT!
Haha what was I expecting.
