My theory for Syrian strikes
Hello. I have a working theory for the West’s recent Syrian strikes and would be interested your guys feedback. 1. Trump in serious domestic political trouble 2. Trump reaches out to his puppet master to make a world event 3. Putin tells Syrian leader to gas his own people. 4. US, Britain and France join forces to strike Syria in response. Outcome: - News cycle is changed from him being in trouble to a Syrian strike - Britain and France get to look like they’re ethical countries that care for the innocently gassed - Putin enjoys further control over Trump - Trump/Putin clearly seen playing the ultra long game Again, interested in your thoughts.
The saudi Arabian company aramco wants high prices for oil. They will IPO soon. This crisis is exactly what they needed.

You know the real and only winners of the Syrian strikes? The missile makers. The last strike was just a silly mosquito sting that didn’t achieve anything at all (except for propping up the Lockheed Martin stock price, for which Trump is either a shareholder or has rich friends who own shares in it).
Ehh, a couple hundred thousand/few million dollars for a new news cycle for Trump and a public image of caring about gassed people for the Europeans is probably worth it

You are assuming people in USA care about a strike in Syria. Trump's affair with porn model many years ago is much bigger news. What I mean is that why ask somebody to commit a war crime if you can get bigger media attention by finding a pedophile in a church or something like that.
USD need a war once in a while to stay in demand. If any foreign interest wants to leave USD because of trade or politics, a strike will make them come back to a safe haven currency like USD or gold.

Am very much aware of this. Putin is pretty powerful that he can get a country to gas their own people to provoke other countries to strike said country in order to alter press coverage and political approval rating of a person he’s got total control over. Some next level stuff
News cycles last about 2 days now (Parkland was less than two months ago.) Also, not sure what you mean by him being in trouble - most polls have him at the peak/plateau of support

Why do you think Syrian leader gas his own ppl? If he really want to kill a lot of ppl, isn't it easier and cheaper to just send army bomb them?
Truth is simpler. People are incompetent. Whatever the truth, there is no justification for bombing Syria.
This is an interesting point, but I think leaves out that Trump needed a new news cycle. Also, historically speaking, do you recall a previous time when we sat idly by while countries gassed their own people?
