NXP culture and work/life balance

Looking at a few roles in NXP High Performance Analog Team. Anyone have experience with that team ? What about the broader company culture ? TC 170k YOE 9

I am not in the team you mentioned. But, the work culture in general is great with flexibility to move around/across different groups and also to accommodate your personal things like, picking up kid from school, house hunt (if you are relocating) etc etc. With a YOE of 9, I would think that they offered you G4 or above.

I'm not familiar with the levels/grades. Can you share more about that ? Any idea what TC should be for 9 YOE in NXP ?

Levels: similar to many other hw companies. 1 to 6. Undergrad folks, right out of college join at Level-1. Graduate folks at Level-2. TC: It depends on the city, and what you are making currently. I can’t comment for San Jose location. In Austin, my estimate for 9 YOE is: 130k-140k base, at least 30k RSU, plus joining/relocation. Again, this can only be a generic, average number.

What's the location?

San Jose.

At least in Austin, they got the Freescale PTO policy. Just starting out you can accumulate 4 weeks of PTO. It can go up to 6 weeks depend on years of service

Oh that's interesting. I'll have to ask about this.

Yes, it accumulates on a monthly basis. Roughly 14-15 hours per month. But, there’s no sick leave. So, one would need to apply for PTO even if he/she is unwell. I have seen managers very accommodating to grant work from home if employee requests for it.

No sick leave... Ouch. Thanks for sharing.
