If dating is not a constraint ( have a GF), would you move to Seattle from NYC? Been here for 6 years, been there done that for about everything at this point.

A good dating pool will keep your mate in check.
Seattle has nicer weather if you don’t like snow and like to go outside in the summer without feeling like you’re stepping into a sauna. If you’re used to all of the restaurants, nightlife, culture that NYC has to offer you might find it a bit small or boring though
I lived in Seattle (east side Bellevue and Kirkland) very pretty. Tax benefits are real, people were ice cold (don’t ever say good morning in an elevator they look at you like you’re crazy) winters are horribly depressing and found that many of my coworkers had homes in warm places to “get the vitamin D fix” i know a lot of people out there so social wasn’t completely an issue but it wasn’t so easy to meet new people. I didn’t last long before returning back to NY
They’re computer programmers mostly. Introverts and in deep thought. I found Seattle to be very friendly if you use simple ice breakers to say hello.
People in NYC are rude AF. In Seattle, people say "sorry" or "excuse me" when they bump into you. In NYC, they say "excuse you" or "fuck you" when they bump into you on the street. Also, dating in NYC is super expensive. A dinner for two costs you over $100. Plus, hot girls in NYC digs for Wall Street ppl wearing suits, not code monkeys wearing hoodies.
I love that last sentence. Wall street ppl in suits, not code monkeys wearing hoodies
I've lived in both and liked NYC more. Want to move there in a few years as well. Seattle has a lot less to do, worse food, less interesting people.
Does Seattle or NYC have more people who enjoy helping others?
People always overrate dating as #1 reason to come to nyc here. The city itself is just an amazing place to live in at least once in your life.
