The post in the attached screenshot just went viral on LinkedIn. The ~1800 comments are an almost 50/50 mixture of positive support for OP's situation with advice and offers for help, and bluntly negative criticism for naming and shaming Fisker. Plenty of folks seem to think that OP crossed a line by posting this story publicly and he/she severely harmed their professional reputation by doing so (a few even ridiculed him/her for whining like a child). What does Blind think? Was this a good move? Is OP in the wrong? (Edit - OP also attached their resume to the post, but I removed it from the screenshot to preserve their anonymity).
Dude nailed it, he will get lots of offers and connections from this post. Most of the time I think it is your professional duty and responsibility (and common courtesy) to not air your companies dirty laundry. But in this case, his position hadn’t even started so no harm no foul IMO. I would feel differently if he already had a paycheck from them. Good for him.
TIL Fisker is still around?
Tbh I'd never even heard of them until now
What sort of brainwashed boot licker thinks this guy was in the wrong for naming Fisker?
I think he brought to light something that every candidate interviewing there should know. I wouldn't call it a bad move.
Smart kid, now he will get connections to places that are actually ethical
1800 comments for some random kid who din’t get an internship. Internet is stupid sometimes.
Did you even read?
Yes, Worst job troubles happen to a lot of people everyday.
Force is strong with this one
This kid is genius. Bonus points if he made it up (wtf if a Fisker?)...he’ll be great in Sales!
I did see this post on LinkedIn. I see no problem with it.
I think it’s a good move — if anything he’ll be pre-vetting the types of work environment he’s interested in joining due to self-selection
