I am a recent MBA graduate and got a verbal offer from Adobe for a Business Solution Analyst. I have 6 years of previous experience in software engineering, and project management. I would like to know how to evaluate my offer? Posting for first time here so unsure of the process. Edit: Adobe in San Jose. Base- 115 K Sign on bonus - 20 K Annual bonus - 5% RSU - 44.2 K over 4 years
Guess first bench mark is are you making more than your previous role (as SWE/PM)? Second, has the goal with which you did MBA held up? (At times people want to move away from tech or join Prod Management and ok with taking a comp hit). Your offer sounds low for your experience and degree, but maybe this role is further away from tech hence its within the range. Hard for me to say. Also lastly if its in California, from this year, recruiter are legally bound to provide you (if you ask), the Sal range and medians for which ever level you are being offered. That will be a good gauge where this offer stands and if you are making the best choice by applying for such business focused roles (or want to reconsider)
Base is 5-10K low, bonus should be 10 percent. Else ok
What location is this? Adobe in California? This is fairly low Adobe in Utah? Doing alright
This is Adobe in California.
My post MBA offer at Adobe San Jose a few years ago for manager title was $130k/$20k. I forgot bonus and RSU but probably not far off. They initially offered $120k base and I negotiated up.
Seems super low relative to most post mba roles. Were you top 10 school?
Not top 10 schools in the US. Did MBA from Santa Clara University.
Take the offer. Plenty of unemployed SCU grads out there.
