Hi, I am a resident in Sunnyvale. The City is reviewing a wireless antenna project from Verizon, which is just 5 feet away from my property. Up to now the neighborhood has raised lots of concerns, including: - A violation of City's design criteria by placing the antenna right next to my driveway - The antenna will produce 4 times RF emission than placing a cell phone right next to human body. - The need of antenna is unjustified as the neighborhood doesn't experience service quality issue. - Depreciation on our property. I'm wondering whether blind has people with similar experience? Is there any effective way we can do to stop this project?
Get a law group to take it as a class action since it will effect your neighbors as well.
Thanks for the advice! There 4-5 families being severely impacted by this project. I'm wondering what's the estimated legal cost for such class action? Needs to determine whether it's affordable to us.
Some lawyers will take it based on a payout later but it’s hard to find good lawyers
You are the person to blame when people can't watch youtube smoothly on their phone.
The antenna only has limited coverage in residential area where most people are using cable for internet access. I don't think 4G LTE is a thing needs to improve. Also, all the neighborhood prefer harmony and peace in the community rather than watching 4K YouTube videos over 4G at their own home.
See? Total idiocy.
Is your issue w city or verizon?
I don't have issues with anyone. All I want is to stop or at least have them adjust the project. Having the city approved the application. We could only file against the city as this is the party seals the deal.
Thank you for your advice! I was researching the EMF & RF shields, just to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. I was looking into some RF shielding paints as well as window films. Do you have any experience in that area? Really appreciate your help as the available information about these products is indeed very limited.
Would be really appreciate if you have some brand to recommend. Do you have the personal experience of using them?
Is this a full tower or one of the microcells? The microcells look like glorified Wifi hotspots on top of lamp posts and should be unobtrusive.
Not In My Backyard Motha Fuckers!!
I would like to point out that these wireless carriers care much more about their odacious business interest rather than the benefit of their customers as they might claim. For instance, Verizon is amongst the big blockers of the VoIP technology, which is indeed a very effective way to reduce the reliance on antenna thus reduce overall RF emissions to the general public.
Also any residents, including you, have the chance of facing the similar situation as I have. I hope to some extent we could stand united against these strong corporations and crony capitalism.
4G coverage sucks in Sunnyvale. Please don't put your crackpot theories about RF allergies in the way of improved service.

I was also trying to get help from my employer's group legal plan. Unfortunately, actions against any government entities are explicitly excluded from the coverage :-(
