Nest Palo Alto

How is Nest as a place to work ? I have not heard any good news come out of Nest in a long time. I get the impression that they are struggling and kind of lost. Plus they have been hiring lots of contractors, not good sign. Seems like they are struggling with money. Are they even a good place to work or are they on the verge of shutting down?? I've heard they have some new product launches coming up. But they took forever. Looks like their product strategy and execution are too bad. I am being contacted by Nest recruiters. Please share your opinions. Thanks

Why is hiring contractors not a good sign, other than obvious reason they are not able to hire enough?

I think they have a good long term strategy with a cheaper thermostat and the security system that they are bound to launch soon. One of the few companies that has made a decent connected product that's stuck around for a while without hundred fucking security vulnerabilities. Give it a try, should be worth it. I don't think they're shutting down anytime soon.
