Net worth of purple badges?

I saw my first purple badge today and it got me curious. What net worth do you think a typical purple badge is? Given that they’ve been at the company over 15+ years (when stock prices were ~$20), how much would a person be worth now assuming they didn’t sell a lot of their stock. My guess is roughly $15,000,000. For the sake of the question let’s assume they’re a PE or Senior SDE. I’d assume title/salary doesn’t matter too much since majority of net worth would come from that crazy stock price increase

Not necessary. Amazon used pay low bases, there is 2008, who knows people might have sold stock to buy homes, educate kids etc etc

Why do you think they held their stock? Plus if they did have that much money, how many would you still see roaming the hallways?

We have several purple badges on our team and all but one of them seem to not have a ton of money.

I work for the Japanese equivalent of Amazon and have been here over 15 years and I can tell you that over here all it means is that the company institutionalized you to the point where you couldn't get hired elsewhere. And our stock has plummeted, unlike Amazon's.

Yeah, I mean, they're still working aren't they? I certainly wouldn't be if I had more than 2MM
