I’ve read plenty about the Netflix culture of fear and feedback. The feeling I get is that it can be overblown and is highly contextualized by team/manager. Assuming shit completely hits the fan, how long would a new employee be given to “ramp up”? Is there some grace period you can expect to be given to at least figure things out?
Zero ramp up. Drink from a firehose.
This is true unfortunately. One of my friend went through it
Ouch
It depends on the team. Generally we all understand new hires need a little time to get up to speed. Somewhere between 3 to 6 months maybe.

My advice would be figure out what managers priorities are, set expectations with him/her upfront. You should be fine. Have you accepted an offer?
