Netflix terming

I’ve heard Netflix provides 3-4 months salary when they term. Any truth?

I read the full culture deck before interviewing. Also, they told me this during the interview process

It’s in the culture page... jobs.netflix.com/culture

2 We generally offer a minimum of four months of full pay as a severance package, giving our ex-teammates time to find a new company.

Apple Wayne8888 Sep 6, 2018

Minimum is 4 months - what’s the median?

Apple cho Chang Sep 6, 2018

Probably 4 months

Netflix CosmicCat Sep 6, 2018

It’s by level. Manager and under is 4 months. Director/VP/C-suite is higher and banded, I believe.

Netflix Johnny5 Sep 6, 2018

Typically 3-4 months for managers and ICs, 6-12 months for Directors, 12 months for VPs

3 or 4? What makes difference?

Netflix CosmicCat Sep 7, 2018

As a hiring manager who has exited a number of people, it’s always been 4. That being said, other teams may have other protocols but I honestly don’t know of anyone having less than 4 months.

Are the layoffs that bad at Netflix?

Netflix RmpL27 Sep 9, 2018

They’re firings not layoffs

Netflix zero-cool Sep 11, 2018

No, same as any other company I have worked for, the only difference is we are open about it.

R u on payroll when they fire ? Or go off H1 status ?

Amazon vbbu72 Apr 19, 2019

+1, Not worried about low performance or being let go. It is the h1b orphanage which doesn't allow me to interview with them.
