Typically IC3. ML/CV/NLP/DS grads from a world class program with some great internships could MAYBE get an IC4 offer.

Oh thanks any idea about the typical IC3 compensation?

About 120k base

Plus stocks and sign on?

Apple EXQB54 Aug 19, 2018

Yes you get stocks and sign on even at 2

eBay Cfc OP Aug 19, 2018

Yeah just asking how much stocks? And I am new to this RSU thing but it would be great if someone would explain to me how the “refreshers” thing works. Have heard its good at Apple

Usually ict2, only PhDs join at 3

eBay Cfc OP Aug 19, 2018

IC2? Is that for masters degree too? Thats low right?

Apple EXQB54 Aug 19, 2018

Why low? You're starting with practically 0 years of industry experience. Ict3 would be high, people with 5 years are typically hired at 3. FYI, ict and ic are different tracks

No with prior two internships at big name companies.

Usually ICT2. Hired 2 people on my team recently, 1 with Masters and the other Masters + 1 year of experience. Another PhD hired in my team at ICT3 Friend who had 3.5 years of work ex after bachelors and then did his masters had to negotiate and put competing offers on the table to get ICT3 instead of ICT2.

Depends on org. Hardware may starts at ict2. Software especially Eddy’s org always starts at ICT3 for masters

Masters grads join as ICT3 unless the team you got hired by is looking for ICT2 only. Frankly, you will make more money if you are ICT2 because of overtime.
