New constructions in bellevue

Looking to buy a starter home and was looking at some new constructions. The Upton at crossroads seems reasonable. I would prefer a townhome or sfh. What are the hot areas? We prefer Bellevue as I work in bellevue and spouse works at Amazon seattle. Kirkland and Redmond seems so far away. What are some good areas in bellevue?

Wilburton is great, not far from Whole Foods and close to downtown. Some good townhouses there. Don’t expect new construction.

Crossroads is not a good neighborhood that’s getting worse with time.

Ah ok...let me check out Wilburton. Is downtown Bellevue considered safe? I am there only for work and hence have no idea how it gets after 6 PM.

Yes, downtown is very safe and very expensive.

  • Did you look into issaquah? It’s not terrible to Seattle and still close to Bellevue.

My spouse uses the 520. So did not consider Issaquah to be an option. Parts of Kirkland near 520 is worth considering, only if it was not so expensive :(

Better to be bankrupt than to piss off your spouse.

Looking for something around ~750k ish...mainly because I consider this as a starter house and do not want it to be too big. I am happy with a 2 or 3 bedroom townhouse. Sfh in the area seems to be very old and I currently live in a older apartment so I want to stay away from anything built before 1980.
