Biden’s new tax proposal is wild
Currently live in SoCal. Got an offer as a business analyst in SF office for Uber. What should be my expected TC. Never dealt with bonus/Initial stock grants/stock refreshes. Current salary is 100k base. 3 yeo. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thank you!
Lol I know people making under 6 figures and they're not poverty status. You can get roommates and a decent place for 1400-1600 a month. Uber feeds you so you only have to worry about food on the weekends. You'll have roughly 3000 a month for living expenses if you use 1600 a month for rent, 100 for utilities, and 300 for additional food/eating out on weekends. More than doable.
Thank you so much for the info. I know I’m not an swe or sde so would you say the offer I got is at par in SF? Base 80k, 35k initial grant, 8kbonus, 11k stock refresh? Honestly very new to these type of compensation packages so I’m pretty clueless to evaluating these things. I just know what Glassdoor/indeed/payscale says. And they all say it’s around 110k but I’m not sure if that’s including all that or just the base.
Glassdoor/indeed/payscale afaik only show base. I'd definitely negotiate the base salary to bring you closer to 100k, 80 is pretty low (lower than I thought they'd go). 80k is still livable and will roughly be 4600 a month after taxes.
117k is poverty level in SF dawg.
That’s what I was thinking. Just got the offer today and the TC is 135k with base only being 80k. There’s no way I can survive in sf with that kind of pay
If you have roomies you can make it work but you’re def going to be closer to pauper status than jr. Baller trainee.
