Coming from outside the Silicon Valley tech world, what type of TC and leveling should I expect here? I have 15 yoe in PR/marketing comms. Concerned I might get undervalued because none of my past work aligns with the typical salary/rsu/bonus/refresh/etc compensation structure.
If you have 15 yoe in a megacorp you should be at least a director. Which means you should be paid at least $300k TC
Not megacorp. Mostly SMB.
Tech and nontech are so different. Here you wouldn’t get best answer for nontech tc.
That’s what I’m trying to figure out. We don’t have L and RSU where I’ve come from.
Have you ever managed anyone? Managed any budgets? Do you have an MBA?
150k+20k/yoe so 450k
Unfortunately you're in a non-tech role, which means 200k could even be high for you. Software engineers will tell you for 15yoe you should get 500k+, but it's just not possible for non-tech
