Next steps - after on-site

Had a on-site interview last Friday and interviewers was happy with me and I also felt the same. Emailed recruiter on Monday afternoon thanking for organizing and status on interview,she replied she will talk to HM by noon and get back. I am tempted to ask what happened but not sure whether it’s right or wrong.. Any advise ?
