No response from Amazon it's been 3 business days post interview

Hi Amazonians, Does anyone know how much time does it take for a decision to arrive post an on-site interview at Amazon? I feel I did well in the interview, but it has been 3 business days since the interview and I haven't received a decision yet. From my past experience with interviews I feel that mostly I must have gotten rejected but would still like to know how many days does the HR team usually take to give a decision?

@op, can you share your interview experience?

Ericsson jamil OP Oct 21, 2017

It was really great. The interviewers go an extra mile to make sure you're comfortable and they're very attentive to every thing you say

Which team?

Amazon interviews concludes with answers after one hour of your interview. Unless you are a key position, say L6 and above for SDE, the chances are you might be second candidate or didn’t make it. Amazon always try to give the best interview experience because we know people can be nervous and might have to go to the bath room. However, to get hired, you have to be better than 50% of the people in the same level (judged by the interviewers). If you didn’t make it, that means you didn’t do well, your bar raiser said no and/or someone isn’t sure about you. Amazon pass on candidates who are in the “not sure” category. So give this info, where do you think you are?

Hey thank you so much for the insight. I answered all the questions that I was asked and in fact gave answers relating them to the experience I have. During one of the rounds the hiring manager did mention about a candidate having certifications relevant to the role. So yeah I feel there was a better candidate in my pool. Anyway I'm just waiting for an official rejection to convince myself I didn't get it :p

It wasn't for SDE and was an entry level position

Took me 5 business days to get a “no” via email.

Microsoft ODiO87 Oct 23, 2017

How was your interview experience?

Ericsson jamil OP Oct 23, 2017

It was really great

Dell AgVx26 Oct 23, 2017

No great. I am just about through with Microsoft and Google, MUCH better people wise. The people at Amazon seems to try to keep you from getting the job more than trying to help you get it. Microsoft and google have been total opposite, they really try to help you along in the process. Google recruiter is AMAZING. Microsoft, it’s been 50/50. Dealing with one who lags on everything and another who is pretty spot on

Hey people, Thanks a lot for all the inputs. I have finally received an offer from Amazon

Amazon Vpea55 Oct 24, 2017

Congratulations

Was wondering about this. Congratulations !

Microsoft ODiO87 Oct 24, 2017

Congrats! Did they low ball you?

Ericsson jamil OP Oct 26, 2017

No they didn't, I was offered more than the expected salary

Ericsson jamil OP Oct 26, 2017

I'm not really smart, but still getting an offer was a big thing for me.
