Non SF H1B holders, last year for Euro-trips?

There's one year to go, but Washington's IDs won't be acceptable at airports. After that, the only TSA acceptable ID I'll have is my passport.

Does that mean the only way I can get a Visa for countries that have embassies in SF is to stay there till I get my passport back?
Do you know of any workarounds/IDs for domestic travel without passports?

You can try to get global entry card. That’s accepted. And will solve the passport problem.

Check ttp, they only ship cards to citizens. Non citizens can enroll, though.

Can’t you mail your passport? I’ve done that a few times.

Ohh wow didn't think of that!
I'll have to do a road trip back to Seattle.
This system is not designed for immigrants. Imagine the uproar if citizens were facing a problem like this.
