Thinking about moving to North Carolina. Currently work in tech. I make 100k per year in the Midwest. How is the quality of life in Charlotte/Raleigh? Are there a lot of well-paying tech jobs in the area?
Peaceful and laid back. Ideal for Families.
Raleigh is awesome, small City but it has a pretty good culture and food scene. Decent number of jobs, but nothing like the real big cities
Charlotte is good. 100k is plenty to be comfortable here. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and some shitty microsoft positions (I mostly know people who worked support) in the city.
Charlotte is banking industry only. Raleigh has better mix of high tech.
Chicks in Raleigh are hot though 😂
Very true
Hot and humid summers. Lots of 🕷 🐜 bugs , can’t even go hiking without being bitten by mosquitoes 🦟 Winters are colder that western states This is not my definition of laid back life.
Sounds like Indiana, where I live. Except it's much warmer there in the spring and fall.
Amazing
Work at Google data centers or remotely? Or they have other offices in NC?
