Man just leetcode hard and get into a bigger company. You can easily double your salary if you grind leetcode for 4-6 months
Ah thanks, trying to do that. Been working on side apps though so that takes time
TC 93k YoE 2 Baltimore
We're you FTL?
No. PDP. I want to to FTL next year.
I was 110k < 4 yoe Bmore If I go back, which I don't want to, I'd be looking for >175k at sub 6 yoe
Where did you go? I’m currently at Baltimore.
The only people I really feel bad for are the engineers in the aero/defense industry who don’t know about Blind. They are seriously blind, probably thinking they are making decent money as the years go bye. Not saying everything on Blind is true, but it’s a helpful tool to give perspective. Yes, aero/defense have cool programs/products, but that’s really it. Really hard to want to leave, but costs money to live and eat
Yeah I feel like I’ve wasted 15 years of my life here. there are people who have been here their whole lives, but when they were young, it was before the cost of housing went up so much that it became unaffordable for defense industry workers. What’s really happening is that the currency is losing its value due to QE, and tech companies and banks are the ones adjusting their salaries, while other industries have not.
131k, 15 yoe, socal. Are there any other mechanical engineers on here? Man, reading all this makes me wish I had pursued software engineering...
All 15 years at NG? Regardless, you're underpaid.
70k, first year (not including 2 years of interning here), Huntsville, AL. I'm curious to see what other starting offers are for Cyber this year because I heard they were 5-10% higher than last year...
90k 5 YoE SoCal
😥 110k 6 YoE Baltimore Recently got an offer so going for it, where it's a little more than double TC. No more paid OT
I was making <30k with 2 YOE. Don’t lose faith.
