Not enough time to negotiate new grad FB offer, will my future comp be lower than people who did?

So I'd be coming in as a new grad, and I'm wondering how my offer would affect my future comp at FB. I know that signing bonus doesn't make a difference because it's a one time thing. But for stock awards, are they solely based on performance or will they be proportional to the initial stock grant I received in my offer? I'm getting 150k stock and I've read of others negotiating up to 240k stock so that could be a pretty big difference if the stock awards are for ex 1/4 of the initial stock grant.

All performance sleep easy friend

RSU refreshers are entirely dependent on your level and performance rating. 150k is standard. "Time" was probably not the limiting factor there -- there's a good chance you couldn't have gotten more even if you'd spent time negotiating.

By time I mean no time to get other offers. Wasn't in a situation where I could line up a bunch of interviews from different companies. Good to know though, thanks.

The real thing you're losing is upside. If the stock price doubles in the next couple years, your $150k grant will get you $300k. If you negotiated $240k, it would net you $480k.

How many more times do you expect Facebook stock to double?

Facebook Charitable Sep 18, 2017

It's already done +48% this year in 2017 alone.

Just fyi. Rsu 240k is return intern rockstar level. Very few new grad people can get it.

Isn't 240k E4 level?

Facebook milkshake Sep 20, 2017

Yes. So I said very few new grad can get this much. I also know E4 only got 10k rsu. All depends on the interview performance and negotiation skill.
