Is this legal? If so, why isn’t this used more often to find diverse candidates? https://twitter.com/melaninelevatin/status/1082336843725557763?s=21 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Is there a BLACK WOMAN in the Silicon Valley with a computer science degree that recently graduated or will graduate in May? I have a guaranteed job at Intel for you if you can get me a resume by TOMORROW. You'll start by the end of this week.

Looks like it was deleted. Fortunately I grabbed the text while it was up.
I honestly don't understand how diversity hiring even works at the point. I'm all ears to anyone who can explain this post to me.
Ya this sounds fake. "Guaranteed?" Start by the end of this week? That's not how hiring works at big companies.
Unless it's "diversity hiring", where they basically just wanna make sure they've an actual black human in the office (they also get a hell lotta interest and diversity candidates as well, which they can further use it for future diversity hiring campaigns)
Even then, start by the end of the week? A place as big as Intel has too much bureaucracy to move that fast.
I could see this as being real. Probably pressure from a hire up to hire more diversity after a couple of diverse employees already left.
It’s wrong and discrimination plain and simple
Don’t think this is real.
You can look at their other tweets. They deleted it and rewrote it.
Fake!
It’s clearly fake, feel free to rage about diversity conspiracy theories tho
This headline though, do you work for a crapshoot news outlet? “If it bleed it leads” 🤦♂️
Totally illegal. Try change title to white man.
Is it illegal? Doesn’t it just fall under the affirmative action category?
Depends in which state...
