“Pearson said there’s no data to support that increasing diversity in the ranks of air traffic controllers would make the flying public safer. Thus, Pearson said, he is suing the FAA for its revised hiring practices. “It’s the safety of the national airspace that’s at risk here,” Pearson said.” So as I read it, increasing diversity does nothing to increase safety. Uh, yeah, why would it? It’s not like minorities are going to be any better at directing air traffic than their privileged counterparts... that doesn’t mean that the FAA has foregone safety in the name of diversity. It means they’ve maintained their safety standards and operating procedures while increasing diversity. Please tell me how that’s a bad thing, Mr. Pearson. Just another day in white people missing the point...
Here's a report from 2016. https://nypost.com/2016/01/03/the-quota-driven-drive-to-make-flying-more-perilous/

Another from 2016. http://www.statepress.com/article/2016/01/asu-air-traffic-management-grad-sues-faa-alleging-discrimination -------- Before he could retake the AT-SAT, he said he and the rest of the applicants had to take biographical assessments, which asked questions such as, "Which sports did you play in high school?" and "Would you consider yourself more of a dominant or passive personality?" ... After some digging, he said he found that there was something more to it than just the scores being invalidated. By "more to it," he means a claim that he was discriminated against based on race. Several documentsdemonstrate attempts or desires within the FAA to find ways to increase diversity among its air traffic controllers. These documents include two Barrier Analysis Reports — an initial and an extension — that examined how air traffic controller hiring practices could present barriers to minority populations. The opening lines of the reports read: "Administrator Michael Huerta has made an historic commitment to transform the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) into a more diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects, understands, and relates to the diverse customers we serve." -----
Right, because old boy clubs is all about safety. What is next, deporting illegal immigrants are to avoid school shootings?
From 2104 ----- http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/article458437/FAA’s-shift-in-hiring-raises-concerns.html ----- But the honors student at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill., has already been passed over by her prospective employer, the Federal Aviation Administration, solely because of her answers on a new “biographical assessment’’ that includes questions about how peers would describe the individual, the age at which the person started to earn money, and how many — if any — sports the applicant played in high school. Now, the FAA is conducting an off-the-street recruiting process for all candidates. It begins with the assessment, which is open to most people with a high school diploma. Some experts also suggest that the policy appears quietly aimed at attracting more minorities and women to a workforce that is largely male and white, even though the FAA says the new policy is “blind on the issue of diversity, from start to finish.”
https://www.scpr.org/blogs/politics/2014/04/18/16419/most-air-traffic-control-applicants-fail-new-faa-p/ ------ Many students spend money and time attending FAA-sponsored aeronautics colleges, such as Mt. San Antonio College in the San Gabriel Valley city of Walnut. The test is controversial because those students, who would normally have a big advantage getting into air controller training, are put on the same footing as applicants off the street who may apply with just three years of solid work experience in any field. In 2012, the FAA and the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice analyzed the barriers that women and minorities face when trying to get jobs at the FAA. It found only five percent of the air traffic controller applicants coming from the FAA partnership schools were African-American.

Fox News for information? Groundbreaking
Haha. I knew it. The first response would be an Ad Hominem.
Hard to take this seriously, considering the source. Do you have any other links to corroborate this reporting?
