Which company?
Would be revealing identity if I mention that
Texas and SDE. SDE > DevOps, Texas COL. Although ESPP is a nice benefit.
I will be occasionally doing dev as well from what I understood during the interview process its not purely Ops
Sure you may write a few bash/python scripts or chef recipes but you’re really just helping others get the actual code into production. Personally I’d much rather be a SDE. DevOps is very stressful and may disrupt your WLB if the devs you support write poor code.
F-ing awesome offer. Accept both. You (and every other moron) who asks such ones — no one can judge any offs for you. Each offer depends upon your unique circumstances, the team you are joining, the work you will be doing, and your career aspirations. So quit posting such inane shit. Or just accept the one that pays more $$$$!
Jesus... the cafeteria workers in SF make more than that
They also live in a 1BR apartment with 5 other people and walk to work.
I like walking to work woth my 4 roomates.
Take the SDE. Growth is more in SDE as compared to devops. The 11k gap won’t appear much once you gain a good experience, the benefits will be immense. Also, Dallas is cheaper than NJ, FWIW
Take the $$ leet code hard for a year and double it.
TX is kind of a big state. where exactly
DFW
