Hello! I have many YOE working for small Canadian companies making local salaries not worth mentioning on Blind. I stumbled into an offer from a Pretty Nifty Company (PNC) that does not yet have much of a Canadian office, and my understanding is I'll be one of the first hires on this side of the border, so there's no one at PNC I can directly contact or compare to. Salary: $137k CAD RSU: $175k USD, vesting evenly over 4 years If I compare these numbers to PNC San Francisco people who entered info on levels.fyi, this seems like $10k-15k less salary than someone in my same level, and about $75k-100k less RSU. What are everyone's thoughts? Accept right away or try to push one or both of these numbers up?
Numbers are always going to be lower in Canada, comp seems pretty good for Toronto.

Which city? Toronto and Vancouver have very different costs to Montreal.
Forgot to put in the post! Toronto, although I’m new to Toronto anyway
IMO, you should figure out what kind of living situation in a given neighborhood you would get. Toronto is an awesome city but even if your salary is good for the market, it may not be worth entering if it won't get the lifestyle you want.
