I have couple of offers and I am not sure of any implication of negotiating my current salary to the current place. I know there is a big risk in future as I will be first one will get let go if layoff happens who knows. Any recommendation or tactics folks have tried successfully or unsuccessfully. Please share your experience if possible. Thanks for your time. No trolling please! TC 195k New offered TC 225k
They should pay your market value otherwise retaining top talent is going to be difficult. Tell your manager about your offers and tell them that you would rather work here as you like the work but feel that you should be paid your market value. Also be prepared to leave the company if the negotiations don’t work.
Thanks, but I still feel that will leave bad taste with direct manager.
They are underpaying you, you should be upset about that. If you don’t value yourself, no one else is going to.
tell your company, a very good friend referred me to his company and this is all that I got. I'm confused what do I do.
Good piece of advice thanks
No way, value yourself else no one else will.

This advice is so old and doesn’t work anymore. There is nothing wrong going outside and evaluating yourself. Feel free to tell your company what the results of that evaluation was. If they don’t want to keep up with the market, their loss. In fact, companies should be confident of their pay structure.
