Hello, I have cleared technical rounds of LinkedIn and Google, and have been offered Swe and L3 positions at both companies respectively. I received an L4 offer from Lyft today and they are offering a total TC of 275k (165k base, 440k stocks over 4 years - Seattle office). I haven't received comp details from Linkedin and Google yet. I am wondering to what extent they would be able to match Lyft offer. I have heard Google usually lowballs and if the offer is too high it gets rejected by SVP. I am a bit confused about how to approach offer negotiations with Linkedin and Google. I would prefer joining one of these companies over Lyft. Could you share your opinions on the same? YOE: 1.75 years current TC: 190k
Does Lyft hire people with less than 5yoe currently? I see all their positions require 5 yoe.
what role are you interviewing? mobile? infra? fullstack, backend,...
Got an offer for infra
LinkedIn will at least match
I’m not even sure if Google will match an offer from Lyft. A short while ago when I applied L3 I was in a very similar situation, but with a competing offer from Snap (much higher TC, one level above new grad.) Google did not care and did not budge on comp at all
LinkedIn’s SWE offer most probably won’t be higher than your Lyft one.
What is the best offer I could get from linkedin though?
depending on which track you are interviewed for. Infra/ml will have a little bit higher TC. But I would say the top band will be: App: 240K Infra/ml: 250K 275K is senior SWE TC
