Is there any way to file a complaint against colleague in office for misconduct which issues just a warning to him. I don't intend to file a complaint of sexual harassment, as an official warning would suffice to make him aware that his conduct is not acceptable in office premises. Also, can that be done anonymously, without including my manager or my HR partner?
I agree, thatâs a pretty strong warning in itself
It's Amazon. Report it. Cut the fat. Set the example for others.
What did he do?
Report to HR, if you tell him and he decides to take any type of retaliation (work-wise, social, mobbing, or otherwise) you want the incident documented
You can make an anonymous report on Ethics Point at www.amazon.ethicspoint.com
That's a good idea. Thanks :)
Yes ethics is the place to go we all have ethics sites now because hr is useless pos looking out for the company only. But there will be a formal investigation and you will be crucified are u ready for retaliation? Despite company rhetoric retaliation will occur. We are screwed as women in this field our only choice is to leave. Itâs like an abusive relationship in tech it only gets worse unless you leave. Bring on the flaming trolls!
Send the person an email. You'll have the sent email to share with HR if there are additional problems.
Does anyone know if any difference between sexual misconduct and harrasment? Is sexual misconduct fireable or just warning? Someone i know reported inapprpriate touching againat manager, which hr took as sexual misconduct (even though the person didnt himself suggest sexual reason). Does that mean they would fire rightaway or issue warning?

Even if you 'anonymously' let this person know, they're gonna have a pretty good idea on who you are. Just let them know directly through email or chat without involving your manager or hr.
