Recently started H1B transfer process with Ogletree Deakins. Want to know how are they at handling the cases? Filling speed, mistakes, response times, etc? The portal that they shared (VisaTrax) seems really bad - full of bugs, pop-ups, and grammatical errors, etc. Sort of made me question their professionalism :( PS: Tagging VMware as they are the only big name I know that uses this law firm (from searching on Blind). My offer is not with VMWare though.
I got RFE with them... for VMware last week and fragoman did my transfer smoothly 6 months back.. looks they do mistakes..
Do you know the reason for RFE? It was some filling mistake?
No I didnât.. got an email saying it takes 10 dys to reach attorney
I have had no issues with them so far. H1 and I-140 all had been very smoothly done. Very proactive with all updates and timelines. Probably depends on the person dealing your case.
Oh good to know.
They wait until the last minute to file RFE responses.
I see. Good to know.
I have had smooth experience with Ogletree but horrible experience with Fragomen so I guess it just depends
True!
If Ogletree doesn't respond, escalate to HR and share your experience and feedback with them. They'll usually step in and help.
My case is 485 and they are taking 3 months no reply. Luckily my boss and HR super helpful and pushing my case but still slow
Thanks.. I got the RFE details... Ogletree is recommending me to consult other immigration firm before responding to RFE ... Its expensive for me to consult other law firm.. not sure itâs legal... moreover I had successful h1b transfer for same RFE with current employer I am good at LC easy and medium... shall I start looking for other companies who doesnât have Ogletree as their legal counsel... Current TC 225 Vmw tc 260
What did you end up doing

They are quick with H1B but they delayed my i140 filing. By the way they take their time to reply to emails, sometimes don't reply for weeks.
Great..thanks for your reply. Did you use visatrax too?
I agree very poor in email response. Not sure how well they do with filing/ documentation etc
