One takeaway from Dreamforce...

...is that the streets of San Francisco pretty much constantly smell worse than a dive bar urinal at 2am. Watching the shop merchants sweeping up the piles of trash on the street before they open every morning was enlightening. I assume residents must be feeling some level of frustration over the situation, regardless of their political leanings?

It requires only rudimentary observational skills to come to the same conclusion. I’m certainly not angry about it, and in fact I’m more surprised than anything. SF is a beautiful city, all things considered, but walking out of my hotel in the morning started to get physically repulsive. I’m not sure how the residents have allowed themselves to become enured to the situation .

I live here and you’re right. It’s absolutely disgusting and we mostly feel helpless and frustrated. The city and its politicians won’t do anything to make things better for fear of upsetting a couple people. Meanwhile we’re stepping in shit and needles or getting spit on by a homeless addict.

The people here don’t want to admit that homelessness isn’t the fault of “the system” or some oppressor but rather the responsibility of ones own actions. They are also afraid to admit that most homeless people are black because there are genetic patterns among black people. They tend to be lazy and impulsive. That’s why they do drugs and get addicted.

I went to a Dreamforce happy hour yesterday and talked to this black woman. She told me about how she’s a teacher in Oakland but she doesn’t really teach anything. She just helps break up fights. It’s because the school is filled with blacks and Mexicans. She also showed me a news article where they talked about gunshots near the school. It happens quite often. She said she feels helpless because no one does anything.

The obvious solution is to round up all these people loitering the streets. These violent areas need to be put on a curfew. Send in the national guard. But people are more worried about making racist people “look right” right than doing something to actually help the good blacks be in an environment where they can learn.

“I have an anecdotal black friend who confirms my prejudice and racism”. That teacher doesn’t exist, and you’re crazy.

She does exist you’re just scared everything you believe is false. We are not all equal. It doesn’t mean one is inferior to a another. But we are not equal.

You understand blacks are lazy and unintelligent right? Not all. Not all. Not all. But in general it is true.

Nope I don’t understand and I don’t see you providing any evidence to support your claim... why do you believe African American’s are lazy and unintelligent?

I certainly don’t think it’s Dreamforce that’s responsible:) I don’t get out to SF that often, but I lived there in the early 90s. There were certainly pungent areas in that day, but these days the smell seems to seep from every city pore, no matter how upscale the neighborhood
