Online Stock Trading in US

Im new to the US, what brokerage tool or service do you recommend? My use case is diversification of my company stocks with other equity picks or ETF, probably mostly NASDAQ traded. I'm not a day trader, but make transactions every couple of months, $20k+ each, and hold. My retail banks are chase and sfcu. Grateful for any constructive advice!

Robinhood also trades on a delayed spread. No such thing as a free lunch

Robinhood is for gambling. Get a real brokerage account

Is this a thinly veiled attempt at bragging? Either way, my answers: Vanguard Robinhood Fidelity Any of these will do

Thanks! No bragging for sure, just realising that poor diversification will kick me in the nuts one day.

100% VTSAX is all you need

Fidelity.. ask them for free trades if total account value is more than 50k Don't use Robinhood. It's simple and intuitive but no pro features, and no assigned beneficiary

Wait, do they provide free trades if account value is high?

Fidelity, +1. I’m biased though as my employer uses them and it’s wonderful seeing all of your TC glory in one place.

For that low volume, it honestly doesn’t matter. I would go big like Fidelity, Schwab, etc. Or, if you want great margin pricing and ultimate control over how your trades are routed, look at IB. IB isn’t cheap per trade, but they also don’t sell your trade data to front runners like all the discount guys.

I used Robinhood a few days ago and purchased my first stocks ever. Gueas what... the stock market crashed next day and I lost money

It's all your fault! Tell us when you're going to sell, so we can be ready to buy.

M1 Finance. Very underrated and completely free service.
