Onsite Interview expeses not being reimbursed š
I went out of town for an interview in August and I was promised by the firm that they would finance the entire trip and reimburse any meal expenses as well. However when the time came they literally only paid for the flight and I had to give my credit card at the hotel cause they hadnāt put any form pf payment there and paid for cabs because their taxi service did not show up. At the end of the on-site interview the recruiter apologized for all the mixup and promised that I would be reimbursed if I send him all the receipts. I have been chasing them since August and they havenāt come back with the reimbursement or an ETA on it. Do I have any legal rights here? What can I do to make them pay me back ? TC - 100k

No, they said team wasnāt a fit and wanted me to interview with other teams because they were impressed with me but that didnāt even happen ... and I have another offer that Iāve accepted already
Sometimes theyāre just really slow at reimbursing, just keep emailing them.
How slow ? And they should at least respond to my email ...
You want to take legal action against them to make them pay for your meals? Cut your losses, move on.

Did you even read the post? I paid for the hotel and the cab rides as well, itās almost thousand bucks ... I didnāt even send them the receipts for meals .... so donāt just make assumptions

This is such a sham and shame. They need to learn from Apple, the way the make interview process easy for out of state candidates.
Keep emailing and cc other people who were involved if one person is nonresponsive. I had to persist 3 months with a company earlier this year

Escalate to someone else in the org. Recruiters are total airheads
Take them to small claims and blast them online
I guess thatās the only option left
