Opinions wanted! Google and Amazon NYC/Seattle
Google recruiter informed me they want to move forward with team match. I interviewed for Seattle but mentioned interest in NYC. They got back to me and I’m able to speak to teams from both offices. Some extra info: * I really like my work and team right now... working <= 40hrs/wk. High impact as well. * I’ve always lived in Washington state. Visited Manhattan a couple of times and loved it. * 26 y/o single male TC: 185k L5 No offer details from G yet Looking for people who’ve done the transition to chime in too.

Excursion isn’t immigration. Go live in nyc if you loved it, but I bet you’ll hate it soon and will come back :)
Don't undervalue being on a team you like and doing work you like with decent hours. That's a very rare setup.

As a 26 yo single male , the best decision you can make for yourself is to move to nyc. Amzn / goog doesn’t matter much
