So my wife’s working with an employer who are sponsoring to apply for her visa this year. However, her H4 EAD’s about to expire after April next year and I’m considering her options if her visa is not picked in the lottery this year. Right now my one and only option is to make her apply for a MNC like Amazon, Microsoft that has presence in nearby countries like Canada, UK etc so that in the event her EAD expires, they can relocate her nearby and apply for a visa again. Her current company doesn’t have it that easy. Does it sound feasible? Are there any other options that i could leverage?
How is it a viable option to move your wife to an unknown country and be separated for unknown number of years?
Well that’s a decision we have both arrived at terms to. She’s really keen to work, good at what she does and not interested in studying further. Also she knows her folks in other places if she does relocate. We’ll give it just the one shot, if it doesnt work she heads back.
Why can't she renew her h4 ead?
DHS is considering redacting the removal of provision for H4 spouses to apply for EAD. Although the rule’s not finalized, I believe it’ll be out sooner or later.
Does she have any direct reports?
Not right now but how would that help??
Work outside the country w/ reports and then re-enter on L1/2 and file for a GC. This is an expedited route is what I have heard. Im not a visa but my past employers would take this route for exceptional candidates who had reports and were willing to make a sacrifice.
Just so you know most companies require you to have 12 to 18 months of valid visa to apply for a job..So move fast

Amazon Seattle / Vancouver is a good option for her, close to you and will do the trick till she gets her visa again.
