As Oracle was late to get into cloud computing business and Amazon gained the marketshare. So how many years was Oracle behind? What were they doing? When was Oracle cloud 1st gen launched? AWS in 2006 Azure in 2009 Oracle cloud in ?
2048
You forgot GCP
Are they pretty late? I was under the impression that it's not that bad, some of open source orgs infrastructure is hosted on GCP like GNOME
I meant the OP forgot to add in the list
Oracle will be always _NoNE_
Oracle cloud gen1 was not really a cloud, it was just glorified datacenter services. Count from the beginning of OCI.
That is what oci and the kid leading them likes to think... near future would show what is true and what is not...
I'm not even in OCI, I've just seen the difference between the products. BTW putting ellipses after all your sentences doesn't make you sound mysterious and wise FYI
Is Oracle still alive?
Oracle has a cloud?
Used to have one... they now call it classic cause the new one has no class :)
In Larry’s dreams
OCI new generation cloud can be counted from 2017 . While initial cloud effort is from 2012 which ended 2018.
And new oci efforts ends when? I predict by end of next year...
Larry was busy saying that there is nothin called cloud... hiring an inexperienced person to lead oci shows that he has still not changed his views...
