IC3 here. 8.5 YOE. 115k TC in New Hampshire. How bad is my TC?
That comp is reasonable to good for an ic3. Too many trolls are on blind with silly TC numbers. The simple fact is this... They hired into Amzn or Msft at s reasonable salary and stock grant. Then over the past 4 years the stocks have quadrupled in value and hence their TC is silly. Unfortunately their are a limited amount of people who have worked as SDEs building out infrastructure at scale so if you want to get this expertise you need to match the stupid high TC they received due to market performance for unvested shares. Unfortunately these people are not reflective enough to see the difference between being lucky and in high demand vs. being a good developer in a normal market. They then come into blind and throw around their crazy numbers and create unrealistic expectations while making everyone else feel like shit. Don't believe the hubris and know when the market softens these are the first people to go.
