Hi.. am planning on attending interviews for some teams in the OCI group.. Am at L65 at MS. Any pointers on what to expect - interesting questions, level/difficultyl of interview?
How did you do? Get an offer?
It should be the same just like your fb/goog interviews. I think L65 in msft should translate to IC5 in Oracle (levels.fyi), but not sure how true that is.
Maybe, but I think IC4 is more likely. Levels.fyi is decent but it's comp based and Oracle in general is lower paying while OCI is higher.
Ic4 not ic5
I haven’t seen many design questions on interview cake, maybe 1 or 2. They asked about both OO and scalable system designs. I personally don’t have any resources to share to help with that, most of my knowledge there was just learned by doing / being part of the design process.
Update: interview went well. Most of the questions were algorithmy - focussing on optimizing for a distributed / cluster-of-nodes setting. They also had a "bartender" round focussed on large scale system design
What’s the approach to tackle optimizing for a distributed / cluster-of-nodes setting ? Any pointers wud help.
Got the offer too: 210k base + 470k RSU over 4 years.. IC4
Do they ask leetcode hard questions?
were you asked to code on whiteboard or on a system ?
Did u accept the offer? I just got IC4 offer and wanted to know culture and work? Pls msg me
Did anyone do a Codility test for Oracle?

I’ve recently interviewed with them, similar questions as an Amazon loop, coding, problem solving, design, their version of leadership principles (behavioral questions) mixed in. Every single person that interviewed me had prior Amazon experience, they may tailor the list to include former Microsoft employees for you (or not, I don’t know.) It was for an IC-4 position (Principal MoS). I used interview cake to help get fresh on coding interview questions. For difficulty I say it was fairly easy, but I’ve also been interviewing at least once a year with Google, Facebook and others to keep sharp. The Google and Facebook interviews seemed much harder for me.
www.levels.fyi has a good chart showing the similarities of levels at a bunch of different companies.
How do you do this? “I’ve also been interviewing at least once a year with Google, Facebook and others to keep sharp”
