How has the culture been transforming since Hillel and Jenny Lam have joined the company? Have there been any mass layoffs among UX Designers in the past at Oracle? Do you think that their Cloud Transformation strategy might turn the ship (and stock price) around?
Oracle executive leadership has to form a sane and internally aligned cloud strategy before UX efforts in TK bear any fruit.
Let’s see, Oracle now has Hillel—a phenomenal leader—and Jenny Lam who’s a fantastic thinker and doer, along with Winston Wang and Mike Hone. The latter 3 were all at Amazon and ditched it for an ostensibly old-school database company. Sure, they can all probably afford the risk but I doubt they’re doing this just because. Strong design thinking can influence a company far beyond screen-based interactions. It’d be foolish to underestimate them.
Curious about org structure. What are their responsibilities both being SVPs?
Ux at Oracle???

Same question would have been asked about MSFT only a few years ago. Never count a giant out completely.
