I have an offer of 215k - 145k base, 45k rsu, 25k sign on bonus. Yoe - 5yrs. Does this offer look fair or above market value in Seattle ? Anyone working in oci- what is it like to work here ? I am aware of negative outlook in the press. But I am more interested in the kind of people and projects I get to work on. I would like to work with motivated engineer on hard problem which needs scalable solutions.
Not a great offer. Check the other offers in blind.i have definitely seen 280k TC for ic3 in another thread.
Is ic3 a senior?
It's Senior MTS at Oracle. This is equivalent to E4 at FB
Basically a level 61/62 at msft
Not true. IC3 is supposed to be much higher but OP's offer is very low and at par with 62 at Microsoft
Check it out here, it is not much higher, it is a 62 level max. I have some friends who moved from msft with test background to oracle as a sr. Mts. https://www.levels.fyi/?compare=Facebook,Microsoft,Oracle&track=Software%20Engineer
Very low offer. 45k RSUs per year?
No it's 1000 rsu per yr... $45k approx
That's low too
Very low offer. I have much higher base at MS L63, 5 years YOE out of college.
Thanks everyone for the input - does 280k sound like reasonable TC to ask for ic3 with 170k base ?
If you're looking for good projects and learn more then OCI is the place. But if you're looking to make more money while learning good stuff then OCI is not the place. ORCL is almost the same from 2015. Unless, OCI succeeds, Oracle is a dying company.
Thank you ! This is helpful :)
38 billion dollar revenue and 68 billion cash on hand is a dying company?
