I hear a lot here they are paying top bucks. How much is that really? Anyone here care to share their offer with level and years of experience?
It doesn't matter if they offer good money. Oracle dying would be a big step for everyone. There is zero innovation and the products they do have are an embarrassment.
BMC pays pretty well. If money is important to you, you will never regret to join BMC. IC4, you can try 350 to 500k
5 years out of college, got to sde 3 at amz then switched to obmc for 350k+ total comp in Seattle.
Oracle Public Cloud and BMC pay really well if you could negotiate it well. So if you are someone like me, and visa and money is important for you right now, you join for 2-3 years. But mind you, be very aggressive with your self learning and side projects in these two years. Oracle is not very innnovative, and as far as I can see, the culture is not great. OPC and BMC are way better than rest of oracle, but still not there yet. There are a few good projects, but they are slow moving. Also as compared to rest of oracle, hikes and rsu refresh every year are much better.
No. BMC only rewards top 5% and also managers connected to VP. everyone else get zero. What you see at your offer is what you get for 4 years. people started to leave after they vest their first RSU.
@amz So maybe you can take out last sentence from my reply .. does the rest of it look good for BMC too?
The pay at BMC is fantastic. They would top amz and ms. If it's a good place to work largely depends on the team and the people you work with just like any other company.
BMC is the future at Oracle. If you get an offer, grab it.
