      As to the inequality part of the argument, there will always be a top 10% and a bottom 90%, and if people from third-world countries can come out of poverty and make it to the top 10% in our country, then I have no sympathy for our American-born bottom 90%.

    No, the aristocracy is the top 0.001%, the 400 families in the country who have 60%+ of all the capital and wealth in the country.

    Tech workers and businesses are a modern day merchant class. Politically Powerful as a group, well off individually, and have the luxury of agency.
