I’ve gotten so used to the new ultra shallow butterfly keyboard on the MacBook Pro, that typing on anything else feels like torture and could slow my coding. Will Google interviewers allow me to use my own laptop to code instead or the provided Chromebook, since I’m assuming it’ll be just a simple text editor?
I don't think you code on a laptop at all during Google onsite. It's all whiteboard
They do allow now. It’s your own choice.
Really depends on where you are, I guess. I've never had the option to let candidates code on a computer. All whiteboard.
yes. the recruiters are flexible using ur own laptop or they can provide one for you. all you do is type in the shared doc.
No. I brought my own laptop 3 weeks ago and they made me use a shitty chrome book with weird keybindings
