Is Palo Alto Medical Foundation known to scam? I recently heard of multiple people getting “office visit” bills for emergency and urgent care visits. Basically getting hundreds to thousands in medical bills ontop of the flat fees they paid for the emergency/urgent care copays. Just found out a family member had been fighting this issue as well for months. PAMF is claiming the building wasn’t credentialed for urgent care yet they charged her the urgent care copay AND there was a sign on the entrance saying so. Wtf I thought they were supposed to be legit?!
I got one from Stanford medical.
Imagine old people on fixed incomes getting a bombardment of delinquency bills and giving in to these scams...its messed up
Welcome to Murrica
I am an urgent care administrator. The billing codes that are sent are 100% based on what The insurance company contractually requires on the billing form. I would suggest calling your insurance company and asking them if they processed the claim under your urgent care benefit. The insurance companies are usually the ones processing the claims incorrectly.
Tell local media (TV).
Is that viable? I was thinking social media shaming would help. I’m too lame to have a twitter tho and that’s where most of corporate shaming occurs it seems.
