PIP'd from Amazon in Middle of Interviews
I was on PIP and have an onsite soon. When I took the first phone screen I was still officially with Amazon. Now when I do the onsite I will not be. My interviewer will probably ask me about my current team at Amazon. Do I pretend that I am still at Amazon and wait until the background check to specify dates?
First get the job and then dont tell them.
They will probably back door reference check anyway, but hopefully they will reach out to someone who likes you. If they ask if you are still there, be honest and vague as to why not.

Back door reference checks are when your potential new employer calls up someone they know at your current employer and gets all the dirt on what happened or whether you were a good employee.
They are going to find out, so better be honest when specifically asked. Good luck!! Don't worry about this and focus on the interview. If they like you, they will likely ignore the let go.

Would they really believe it? I mean it is another big name company and they do have cloud but they wouldnt fire people until I actually accepted the offer would they?
